Students from Hong Duc University participated in the Vietnamese Eloquence Competition for Foreign Students in 2023.

On the morning of November 3rd, in Da Nang, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in collaboration with the University of Foreign Languages - University of Da Nang organized the opening of the preliminary round of the Vietnamese eloquence competition for foreign students studying in Vietnam in 2023, in the Central region. Students from Hong Duc University participated and received consolation prize in the competition.

The preliminary round was held in three clusters: Cluster 1 (Northern region), Cluster 2 (Central region), and Cluster 3 (Southern region). The preliminary round of Cluster 1 included 36 teams and took place on October 28, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - National University of Hanoi. The preliminary round of Cluster 2 consisted of 16 teams and was held on November 3, 2023, at the University of Foreign Languages - University of Da Nang. The preliminary round of Cluster 3, which involves 13 teams, is scheduled for November 10, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - National University in Ho Chi Minh City.

The national final will be held on December 1st, 2023, in Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 12 outstanding teams selected from the preliminary rounds.

Under the theme "Vietnam in My Heart," foreign students from 16 universities in the Central region shared their insights about Vietnam, its people, and culture in Vietnamese. They also shared their deep memories of life, study, and activities in Vietnam, highlighting the sense of solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and the home countries of the foreign students. Through these speeches, they presented a multidimensional perspective of Vietnam and expressed their understanding and affection for the country and its people.

The competition has also become a driving force for the promotion of Vietnamese language teaching and learning, motivating the process of innovation and improving the quality of education in general and Vietnamese language education in particular.

The organizing committee presented encouragement awards to the winning teams.

As a result of the preliminary round in the Central region, the organizing committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and 6 Consolation Prizes. Students from Hong Duc University received Consolation Prize in the competition.
