Over 15 Years of Publication: 80 Issues and 1,500+ Scientific Articles Across Various Fields
stablished in 2009, the Hong Duc University Journal of Science is a multidisciplinary academic journal that publishes original scientific research by lecturers, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates. It serves as an academic platform for knowledge exchange between researchers inside and outside the university.
HDUJS accepts submissions in a wide range of fields including:
Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technology
Social Sciences and Humanities
Economics and Business Administration, Law
Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries
Educational Management and related areas
Over the past 15 years, the journal has published 80 issues with more than 1,500 peer-reviewed scientific articles. Its academic quality is maintained through a rigorous editorial process and a double-blind peer-review system, conducted by a board of reputable scientists and reviewers holding doctoral degrees or higher, both in Vietnam and internationally.
In pursuit of academic integrity, fairness, and scholarly freedom, HDUJS continually works to streamline its editorial process while ensuring the scientific quality of each article published. The university has also invested in the development of an online journal publishing system, now operating at https://hdujs.edu.vn, with all published articles assigned DOI identifiers to facilitate citation and indexing.
In addition, the university has obtained a new publishing license from the Ministry of Information and Communications (now merged with the Ministry of Science and Technology), allowing for the dual publication of both print and online editions. This step enhances accessibility and supports timely dissemination of research output within and beyond the institution.
The recognition by the State Professor Council strengthens the journal’s academic position and paves the way for further international integration. It also contributes to the university’s core mission in education, research, and technology transfer.
As part of the national evaluation system, Vietnamese scientific journals must submit comprehensive documentation—including self-assessment reports and peer-review evidence—for consideration by relevant State Professor Councils. From 2024 onwards, the submission of peer-review documentation has become mandatory in order to be included in the Council’s annual evaluation list.
