Together with the whole country, Hong Duc University (HDU) organized a solemn Opening Ceremony for the new academic year 2025–2026 across its training levels. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of HDU, attended the central ceremony at the National Convention Center. At HDU campuses including Hong Duc Practical Kindergarten, Hong Duc Primary, Middle & High School, and Hong Duc University—Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Viet Bau, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai, Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh, Vice President, together with lecturers, staff, students, pupils, parents, and representatives of affiliated units, joined the live broadcast from Vietnam Television.

Through the broadcast, delegates at HDU performed the flag-raising and National Anthem ceremony, listened to the opening speech by Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son, watched a documentary on 80 years of Vietnam’s educational development, and heard the important directive speech by General Secretary To Lam, who also beat the ceremonial drum to open the new academic year. On this occasion, the Party and the State honored MOET with prestigious awards for its contributions to the nation.
In the past academic year, Hong Duc University successfully accomplished its key targets set by the Staff and Faculty Conference and the annual plan. The University:
Enrolled over 4,000 students (reaching more than 90% of its admission plan).
Developed a proposal for distance training programs in five undergraduate majors.
Published more than 305 scientific articles in domestic and international journals.
Implemented five cooperation programs with scientists, investors, venture funds, startups, and incubators to foster innovation and entrepreneurshi

Received Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training for its excellent performance in national high school exam monitoring and for active contributions to student entrepreneurship.
Was honored by the National Startup Forum with the title “Outstanding University in Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem 2024.”
Additionally, 24 collectives and 665 individuals achieved the “Advanced Labor Collective” and “Advanced Worker” titles, respectively.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, HDU aims to further innovate its governance and administration, improve faculty quality, reform curriculum and teaching methods, enhance research capacity linked with socio-economic development, strengthen international cooperation, promote digital transformation, and gradually affirm its position within Vietnam’s higher education system.
For the academic year 2024–2025, Hong Duc Primary, Middle & High School achieved remarkable results, such as: one teacher winning third prize in the Vietnam VIFOTEC Science and Technology Innovation Contest; two teachers recognized as Excellent Teachers at the city level; two teachers awarded the title of Excellent Pedagogical Competence at the city level; and three initiatives evaluated as Grade A at the school level. In the city-level excellent student competition, the school achieved 35 awards. Additionally, two teachers earned the title of Excellent Primary School Teacher of the city for the academic year 2024–2025, and two teachers received the title of Excellent Pedagogical Competence in Primary Education at the city level in the same school year.

In the academic year 2025–2026, Hong Duc Primary, Secondary & High School will continue to strongly innovate teaching and learning methods in a modern direction; promote activeness, proactiveness, creativity, and the application of knowledge and skills among students; and overcome the one-way, rote-learning approach. The school will focus on teaching methods of learning and thinking, encourage self-study, and create a foundation for learners to independently update and renew knowledge, skills, and competencies. Learning will shift from being mainly classroom-based to diverse forms of study, with attention to social activities, extracurricular programs, and scientific research. The application of information and communication technology inteaching and learning will also be further strengthened.

In the 2024 – 2025 academic year, Hong Duc Practical Kindergarten successfully achieved 100% of its enrollment target with a scale of 309 children. The school ensured comprehensive nurturing, care, and education in an absolutely safe environment with no accidents or injuries. Nutrition and food hygiene practices were strictly implemented in accordance with regulations.
The quality of child development remained high, with 99% of children meeting developmental standards. Attendance rates were excellent (98% in nursery, 96.5% in kindergarten), and over 99% of children were recognized with the title “Healthy and Good Child.” A variety of extracurricular and experiential activities were effectively organized to foster life skills.
All teachers actively participated in teaching demonstrations, with some achieving the title of Excellent Teacher at the City level. Teachers also engaged in scientific research and contributed articles to journals. Practical training and internships for students yielded excellent results, with the majority rated good to excellent. The school also promoted close cooperation with parents, educational socialization, and effective emulation movements.

Stepping into the 2025 – 2026 school year, Hong Duc Practical Kindergarten continues to maintain its enrollment target and uphold the child-centered approach in care and education. The school strives to further enhance children’s holistic development in intellect, physical fitness, and moral values.
All children will have nutritious, hygienic, and safe meals at school. The school places strong emphasis on improving activities such as literacy readiness, logical-mathematical thinking, English, and life skills training. At the same time, efforts are being made to upgrade facilities towards meeting National Standard Level 1.
The school is committed to strengthening educational socialization, enhancing teacher professional development, and applying information technology in teaching. It also aims for over 90% of student practicum sessions to be rated good or excellent, while contributing at least one educational initiative and one scientific publication in the upcoming year.
