As the author of many high-quality rice and maize varieties that have brought prosperity to local farmers, he is known for his practical research closely linked to the application of scientific and technical advances in agricultural production.

On August 24, 2025, at Hong Duc University, the Ministry-level Evaluation Council established by the Ministry of Education and Training under Decision No. 2196/QĐ-BGDĐT dated August 1, 2025, held a meeting to assess and accept the Ministry-level scientific and technological project coded B2023-HDT-05, titled “Research and Proposal of Solutions for Developing Agricultural Tourism in Thanh Hoa Province.”The project was led by Dr. Trinh Thi Phan, Lecturer of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Hong Duc University as the host institution.
