The event welcomed distinguished guests including Mr. Hoang Minh Chuyen – Director of CT Home Construction Co., Ltd.; Mr. Nguyen Viet Dai – Director of Phu Dai Hung Trading and Service Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Nguyen Duc Cong – Director of Hung Thinh Technology Investment Co., Ltd. Representing Hong Duc University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Viet Bau – Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; representatives of Science, Technology & International Cooperation Office; lecturers and researchers from the Faculty of Engineering, Technology, and Communication.
The conference served as an academic platform for education managers, experts, lecturers, and researchers in the fields of electrical and construction engineering to: Discuss theoretical and practical issues related to the integration of AI in design, construction, and infrastructure management; Share research, models, and effective AI applications in electrical and construction engineering; Explore directions for developing training programs aligned with the demands of Industry 4.0.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Viet Bau – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council – delivered a speech at the conference.
The organizing committee received numerous high-quality research papers from academics within and outside the university. These papers addressed various perspectives and focused on key themes such as: Theoretical and practical issues in applying AI to electrical and construction engineering; Experiences in using AI for project monitoring, automation of electrical systems, smart structural design, and construction optimization; Current status of AI application in engineering in Vietnam and globally; Solutions to enhance AI effectiveness in education, research, and practice in technical fields; Proposals for future research directions in AI integration throughout design, inspection, maintenance, and infrastructure management processes.
Dr. Nguyen Dinh Cong – Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Communication – presented a paper at the conference.
Dr. Ha Xuan Giap – Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Communication – presented a paper at the conference.
Highlights of the conference included presentations by notable scholars such as: Dr. Nguyen Dinh Cong with a study on “AI Applications in Monitoring the Quality of Highway Pavement Infrastructure Using Drone Images”; M.Sc. Nguyen Vu Linh with “AI in Operation and Maintenance Management of Construction Projects”; Dr. Ha Xuan Giap with a paper on “AI Applications in Semiconductor Chip Manufacturing”; M.Sc. Le Thi Thuong with a study on “Applications of Machine Learning in the Construction Industry.”
These presentations demonstrated the significant potential of AI to enhance the efficiency of design, construction, and project management. Experts emphasized that AI can optimize design processes, reduce costs, increase sustainability and safety, and assist in collecting and analyzing environmental and material data to propose optimal solutions. Additionally, modern AI systems can provide intelligent material selection, design language, and cost estimation tailored to specific projects based on available data.
