The workshop was directly chaired and delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President of Hong Duc University. Participants included representatives of university leadership, faculties, departments, and staff members in charge of admissions, communications, and career counseling.
An overview of the Conference.
In his opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin emphasized the pivotal role of admissions counseling and communication in the context of profound reforms in higher education and increasingly intense competition among universities. He noted that admissions activities should go beyond merely providing information and move toward systematic career guidance, helping students and parents better understand learners’ abilities, social demands, and employment opportunities after graduation.

The training program focused on key topics such as: updates on admissions methods for 2026; multi-platform admissions communication skills; career counseling and orientation for high school students; handling situations in both direct and online counseling; and developing communication messages tailored to different target groups.

During the discussion session, participants actively exchanged experiences and openly shared practical challenges in admissions counseling and communication at their respective units. Many opinions highlighted the need to innovate approaches to reach prospective students through social media and digital platforms, strengthen coordination between academic faculties and communication units, and promote the involvement of lecturers and students in career guidance activities at high schools.

ployment prospects, and local labor market demands, thereby enhancing the attractiveness and credibility of Hong Duc University among students and parents.
