Following the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo, and Resolution No. 03/NQ-CP dated January 9, 2025, of the Government on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, Hong Duc University has proactively implemented various practical activities to apply AI in its management and teaching processes.

On May 14, 2025, authorized by the leaders of the Party and State of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Comrade Khhampheng Xaysompheng – Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Governor of Houaphanh Province – solemnly awarded the Orders and Medals of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to the collective and individuals of Hong Duc University in recognition of their achievements and contributions to strengthening the friendship, special solidarity, and cooperation between Thanh Hoa Province (Vietnam) and Houaphanh Province (Laos).

To further strengthen the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos and create a joyful and encouraging atmosphere for Lao international students to feel secure in their studies, on the morning of December 2, 2024, Hong Duc University organized a meeting and seminar to commemorate the 49th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 – December 2, 2024) for Lao students currently studying at the university.
