On the afternoon of August 27, 2026, Hong Duc University participated in the 2026 Business Dialogue Conference organized by the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee at the Grand Ballroom, Melia Vinpearl Thanh Hoa Hotel. The conference, themed “Removing Bottlenecks, Unlocking Resources, and Accelerating the Development of Thanh Hoa Province,” was chaired by Mr. To Anh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

On the morning of August 8, 2026, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa Province held a ceremony at Hong Duc University to announce Decision No. 1268/QĐ-TTg, issued by the Prime Minister on July 14, 2026, regarding the merger of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism into Hong Duc University. The event also included the announcement of leadership appointments for Hong Duc University following the merger.
