The event was attended by representatives from the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, including Mr. Trinh Trong Nam, Head of the Secondary Education Division; Mr. Hac Xuan Phuoc, Deputy Head of the Secondary Education Division; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Son, Deputy Head of the Preschool Education Division. From Hong Duc University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President, together with faculty leaders, staff representatives, and students participated in the conference.
In the 2024–2025 academic year, Hong Duc University successfully implemented pedagogical internships and teaching practicums or students in teacher education programs. The activities were carried out in a systematic and coordinated manner with effective collaboration between the University, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, local education divisions, and educational institutions across the province.
Specifically, the University organized internships for 935 students and practicums for 1,055 students. A total of 44 internship groups were placed at 17 high schools, 2 lower secondary schools, 14 primary schools, and 11 preschools; while 54 practicum groups were arranged at 24 high schools, 15 primary schools, and 15 preschools. Results showed that 100% of internship students completed their programs, with 85.5% rated Excellent and 14.5% rated Good. Among practicum students, 99.6% completed the program, with 79.3% rated Excellent, 20.4% rated Good, and only 0.2% ungraded due to health reasons.
Most students demonstrated professionalism, initiative, and creativity in teaching and school activities. However, certain limitations were noted, such as uneven teaching skills, presentation techniques, and flexibility in handling pedagogical situations.
Following the guidance of the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, Hong Duc University has issued a plan for the 2025–2026 academic year, establishing 10 internship groups for 157 students at 10 schools (high schools, lower secondary schools, primary schools, and preschools), and 44 practicum groups for 935 students.
During the conference, delegates engaged in lively discussions and contributed valuable recommendations to further improve the quality of internships and practicums in the coming year.
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President of Hong Duc University, affirmed:

He also emphasized the importance of continued support from the Department of Education and Training, local authorities, and educational institutions in facilitating students’ internships and practicums. He proposed measures such as introducing qualified schools with strong facilities, assigning experienced and dedicated mentors, ensuring close supervision, and supporting students with accommodation, transportation, and teaching resources.
With clear orientations, effective collaboration, and strong commitment from all stakeholders, Hong Duc University is confident in its mission to train generations of teachers with solid expertise and professional ethics, thereby contributing significantly to the development of education in Thanh Hoa province and across the country.
