The Organizing Committee Presents Flags to the Competing Teams
The team of Lao international students from Hong Duc University has proudly won the Third Prize at the National Vietnamese Speaking Contest, marking an important milestone in the university’s efforts to enhance the quality of Vietnamese language training for international students.
The contest was organized by The University of Education – The University of Danang, in collaboration with the Union of Friendship Organizations of Da Nang City. More than just an academic competition, the event served as a cultural exchange platform that encouraged foreigners to learn and use Vietnamese, while also promoting the beauty of Vietnam’s language, culture, and people to the international community.
In the final round, contestants competed in two main segments: Public Speaking and Talent Performance. The Public Speaking section featured topics close to everyday life such as Vietnamese culture and customs, student experiences in Vietnam, the role of the Vietnamese language in international exchange, as well as pressing social and environmental issues from the perspective of international students.
The team from Hong Duc University impressed the judges with their fluent Vietnamese, confident presentation skills, and emotionally rich and insightful speeches. Their performance reflected not only a deep understanding of Vietnamese culture but also a strong emotional bond with the country where they are currently studying.
In the Talent Performance section, the Lao students continued to shine by showcasing their unique cultural identity through distinctive dance and singing performances, contributing to a vibrant, meaningful atmosphere of cultural exchange.
At the conclusion of the contest, the organizers awarded one First Prize, two Second Prizes, four Third Prizes, five Consolation Prizes, and two Special Prizes for the most impressive talent performance and best preliminary round video. The Third Prize awarded to Hong Duc University’s Lao student team was not only a recognition of their efforts and talents but also an affirmation of the university’s high-quality training and friendly, internationally integrated learning environment for foreign students.

As part of the event, Hong Duc University also participated in a conference on teaching Vietnamese language and culture to foreigners, aiming to enhance academic exchange, share teaching experiences, and expand regional cooperation in Vietnamese language training in Central Vietnam.
Currently, Hong Duc University is home to over 100 Lao international students. In addition to offering high-quality academic programs, the university organizes various extracurricular and cultural experiences to help international students quickly adapt and develop comprehensively.
