On the morning of January 9, 2026, Hong Duc University held a commendation ceremony at the Grand Hall to honor students who achieved the titles of Excellent and Good Students in the 2024–2025 academic year. The event was organized in celebration of the 76th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and the Vietnam National Union of Students (January 9, 1950 – January 9, 2026), and in commemoration of the 96th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026)

On May 31, 2025, the final round of the first Central Vietnam Vietnamese Language Speaking Contest for Foreigners took place at the University of Education – University of Danang. The event was vibrant and engaging, featuring 12 teams from universities and colleges across the region. Nearly 160 international students from various countries, including Laos, China, India, the UK, the USA, Russia, and Malaysia, participated in the competition, showcasing their Vietnamese language skills and cultural understanding.

On the evening of May 22, 2025, Hong Duc University successfully held the annual Dialogue Conference between the President and students for the 2024–2025 academic year. The event provided an open and democratic platform for students to directly share their opinions, concerns, and suggestions regarding academic affairs, student services, campus facilities, and university policies.

In order to enhance exchanges, strengthen bonds, and develop the good traditional relationship of friendship between Vietnam and Laos; create a cheerful and enthusiastic atmosphere for Laos international students during Bunpimay 2024, and at the same time strengthen the spirit of solidarity between students of Hong Duc University and Lao international students studying at the school. On the morning of April 9, 2024, Hong Duc University organized the Bunpimay Traditional New Year Program with many meaningful activities for nearly 100 Laos students studying at the university.

On the morning of November 3rd, in Da Nang, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in collaboration with the University of Foreign Languages - University of Da Nang organized the opening of the preliminary round of the Vietnamese eloquence competition for foreign students studying in Vietnam in 2023, in the Central region. Students from Hong Duc University participated and received consolation prize in the competition.
