Hong Duc University Honors 954 Outstanding and Excellent Students in the 2024–2025 Academic Year

On the morning of January 9, 2026, Hong Duc University held a commendation ceremony at the Grand Hall to honor students who achieved the titles of Excellent and Good Students in the 2024–2025 academic year. The event was organized in celebration of the 76th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students and the Vietnam National Union of Students (January 9, 1950 – January 9, 2026), and in commemoration of the 96th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026)

Attending the ceremony was Mr. Bui Hai Vinh, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Study Promotion Association. Representing Hong Duc University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai, Vice President of the University and Chairwoman of the University Study Promotion Association, along with leaders of departments and units, academic advisors, student affairs officers, and a large number of students who achieved Outstanding and Excellent titles in the 2024–2025 academic year.

At the ceremony, Dr. Ho Thi Dung, Head of the Office of Student Affairs, presented a report on students’ academic performance, conduct, and scientific research activities in the 2024–2025 academic year. The report indicated that the University is currently training nearly 13,000 learners. The quality of education continues to improve, with the employment rate of graduates one year after graduation reaching 93.85%, of which 89.33% are employed in fields relevant or closely related to their majors

Regarding academic results, in the first semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, nearly 37% of students achieved excellent and good grades; in the second semester, this figure increased to over 43%, demonstrating significant progress in students’ learning awareness and study methods. In terms of conduct assessment, 13,114 students were evaluated, including 935 students rated as excellent and more than 8,300 students rated as good, accounting for over 70% of the total. Student scientific research and start-up activities also recorded remarkable achievements, with 103 student research projects implemented, including one project winning the Second Prize at the National Student Scientific Research Award organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, affirming the research capacity and creativity of Hong Duc University students.

In his presentation, student Le Anh Dai from class K26, Bachelor of Computer Science Education, Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Communication, shared on the topic “The Application of Artificial Intelligence in Learning – Opportunities and Challenges for Hong Duc University Students.” He highlighted the role of AI as an effective supporting tool when used properly and responsibly, in combination with critical thinking and creativity.

In her congratulatory remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai praised the efforts and determination of the University’s students, affirming that their achievements are clear evidence of the quality of training, the dedication of lecturers, and the support from families and society. She encouraged students to continue promoting their achievements, cultivating ethics and character, improving professional competence and career skills, and actively participating in scientific research and academic movements.

At the ceremony, the University awarded certificates and commendations to 113 Outstanding Students and 841 Excellent Students for the academic year 2024–2025. These students represent typical examples of diligence, creativity, and aspiration for dedication among Hong Duc University students.
