Hong Duc University Holds Warm Lunar New Year 2026 Gift-Giving Program for Underprivileged Students

On the morning of February 3, 2026, Hong Duc University organized a Tet gift-giving program for disadvantaged students on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026. The event was jointly held by the University’s Study Promotion Association, aiming to share support and encouragement with students as the new year approaches

Attending the program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai, Vice President of Hong Duc University and Chairwoman of the University’s Study Promotion Association, along with representatives from various departments, faculties, and centers, as well as a large number of students.

Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai emphasized that caring for students—especially those facing hardships—is not only a responsibility but also a long-standing tradition and deep commitment throughout the University’s development. Every time Tet approaches, the University’s Board of Directors, lecturers, staff, and the Study Promotion Association always strive to ensure that all students can enjoy a warmer and more fulfilling Tet holiday.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai shared that the gifts presented at the program were made possible thanks to the contributions and support of the University’s leadership, staff, lecturers, officials, as well as organizations and generous individuals both inside and outside the University. Although the material value of each gift may not be large, they represent sincere care and compassion, carrying heartfelt wishes of peace and hope for students in the new year. She also expressed her expectation that students would continue to nurture determination, resilience, and aspiration, considering current difficulties as necessary challenges to strengthen themselves. She affirmed that Hong Duc University will always accompany students, listen to their needs, and provide the best possible conditions for learning and personal development, helping every student confidently move forward toward a brighter future.

On Behalf of the Students Receiving Tet Gifts, Quách Thị Thanh, a K27 Primary Education Student, Expressing Gratitude to the University Leaders, the Study Promotion Association, Faculty Members, and Sponsors.

During the program, the Organizing Committee presented Tet gifts to 105 students, including 8 orphaned students, 34 students with disabilities, and 63 students in particularly disadvantaged circumstances, demonstrating the University’s timely and practical support for learners.

Representing the students receiving gifts, Quach Thi Thanh, a student from Class K27 Primary Education, expressed deep gratitude to the Party Committee, the University Board of Directors, the Study Promotion Association, and all lecturers for their continuous support—both spiritually and materially—which has provided students with additional motivation to overcome hardships and strive for success in study and life.

Following the centralized gift-giving event, University leaders and the Study Promotion Association also directly visited students’ families to extend New Year greetings and deliver gifts. They visited the family of Le Thi Thom (Class K25B Early Childhood Education) in Hoang Phu Commune, and Ha Thi Nhung (Class K27G English Language Education) in Luu Ve Commune, offering encouragement and support to help students and their families continue overcoming difficulties.

The total amount of Tet gifts distributed to students in difficult circumstances in this program reached VND 150 million, mobilized through the contributions of the University’s Study Promotion Association and the generosity of organizations and individuals. This meaningful support has contributed to bringing a warm and compassionate spring to Hong Duc University students during the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026.
