Hong Duc University Presents Lunar New Year 2026 Gifts to Lao International Students

As the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026 approaches, Hong Duc University organized a Tet gift-giving program for Lao international students currently studying at the University. The activity reflects the sincere care and support of the University’s leadership, while also contributing to strengthening solidarity and fostering the special traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Lao PDR

The program was attended by Mr. Nguyen Huy Toi, General Secretary of the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa Province; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice President of Hong Duc University and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam–Laos Friendship Association of Thanh Hoa Province; Dr. Nguyen Van Toan, Chairman of the University Trade Union; along with representatives of relevant departments and faculties, and 110 Lao international students currently studying at the University.

In the warm and joyful atmosphere of the early spring days, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Presidents of Hong Duc University, Vice President Ngo Chi Thanh extended heartfelt New Year wishes to all Lao students, wishing them good health, happiness, and great success in their studies and life. He emphasized that the education and support of Lao international students has always been identified as an important mission of the University, demonstrating political responsibility and the close, loyal bond between the two nations of Vietnam and Laos. Over the years, Hong Duc University has continuously improved learning and living conditions, enhanced training quality, and strengthened supportive activities to ensure that Lao students can confidently study and develop in a safe and friendly environment.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh also encouraged Lao students to continue promoting solidarity, maintaining a proactive attitude in learning, strictly complying with University regulations, and actively participating in extracurricular and community activities. He expressed his hope that each Lao student would become a “bridge of friendship,” bringing home positive impressions of the Vietnamese people and culture, and contributing their knowledge and dedication to the future development of Laos.

Representing Lao international students, student Khammavong expressed deep gratitude and emotion for the thoughtful support from the University’s leaders and lecturers. The student shared that studying at Hong Duc University is not only an academic journey but also a valuable opportunity for personal growth, supported and guided both professionally and morally by dedicated teachers. On behalf of all Lao students, Khammavong pledged to strictly follow University regulations, actively study, improve ethical values and skills, and strive for excellent academic results worthy of the trust and expectations of the University.
