General Secretary To Lam emphasized that universities must become hubs of knowledge and technology, the nucleus of innovation and entrepreneurship, closely linking education, research, and technology transfer with national development needs. He also highlighted the need to establish major universities of regional and international stature, as well as modern vocational training institutions, to cultivate high-quality human resources driving breakthroughs in science, technology, industrialization, and digital transformation. Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son underlined that Resolution 71 on breakthroughs in education and training development affirms education as the foremost national policy and a decisive factor for the nation’s future. It calls for placing educational development at the heart of national governance, strategies, and socio-economic planning. In response, President Bui Van Dung affirmed Hong Duc University’s commitment to fostering innovation, enhancing training quality, strengthening research and technology transfer, and implementing long-term strategies to contribute to the country’s progress in the years ahead.

On September 10, 2025, the seminar “Digital Transformation in Higher Education: Practical Lessons and Perspectives from the Vietnamese University and College Community” was held at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Hanoi, under the SOARing DX-VN Project. The event was jointly organized by the British Council in collaboration with UK and Vietnamese universities, attracting the attention of numerous experts, education administrators, and representatives from higher education institutions.

On the morning of September 5, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the education sector’s tradition and officially open the 2025–2026 academic year. For the first time, all educational institutions across the country simultaneously held a flag-raising ceremony and sang the National Anthem to mark the beginning of the new school year
