The event was attended by distinguished former leaders and retired staff of the University, including: Meritorious Teacher Dr. Cao Danh Dang, the first President of HDU; Dr. Nguyen Van Phat, Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations and former Party Secretary and President of the University; Meritorious Teacher Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh An, former Party Secretary and President; Dr. Nguyen Van Tuong, former Acting President; Dr. Hoang Nam, former Party Secretary and Acting President; Specialist Level II Physician Luong Duc Liem, former Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Truong, former Vice President; and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Song, Chairman of the Retired Teachers’ Association, along with staff who retired in 2025.

Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University; members of the Standing Board of the Party Committee, the Board of Rectors, leaders of faculties, departments, and mass organizations, heads and deputy heads of divisions and academic units, professors, associate professors, doctoral degree holders, senior lecturers, and a large number of staff and lecturers of the University.

Honoring Knowledge and Expressing Gratitude to Past and Present Generations
In his keynote address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, President of HDU, emphasized that 2025 marked many important achievements in training, scientific research, international cooperation, and digital transformation. He affirmed that these accomplishments reflect not only the University’s strong spirit of innovation but also the responsibility, dedication, and aspiration for contribution of its staff and lecturers.

At the same time, he noted that higher education in 2025 faced new challenges in the context of increasing competition, university autonomy, and rapid digital transformation. He stressed the need to continue renewing university governance, placing training quality at the center, considering learners as the core, and promoting the role of intellectuals in enhancing the prestige and brand of Hong Duc University within the national higher education system.

University Leaders Present Flowers in Congratulations to Individuals with Outstanding Achievements and Prestigious Awards
At the ceremony, the University announced and conferred the title of Associate Professor on four lecturers and congratulated nine lecturers who successfully defended their doctoral dissertations in 2025. The University also honored and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, presenting prestigious awards such as Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, Five-Year Outstanding Party Member Certificates, the Vietnam Science and Technology Creative Labor Award, the 2025 Outstanding Intellectual Award, Provincial Excellent High School Teacher titles for the 2025–2026 academic year, and Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Informatics Association.

A solemn segment of the program was dedicated to honoring staff and officials who retired in 2025. President Bui Van Dung expressed his deep gratitude for the enduring and devoted contributions of generations of staff, affirming that they are a precious spiritual resource and the foundation of the University’s tradition, identity, and cultural depth.

A particularly touching highlight was the tribute to the President and the Chairman of the University Council. Documentary footage vividly portrayed their professional journeys and leadership contributions in guiding and developing the University.

In his remarks, President Bui Van Dung expressed his sincere appreciation for the trust and companionship of the University community, reaffirming his commitment to democracy, collective wisdom, and sustainable, human-centered development based on academic values and social responsibility.

Assoc. Prof. Le Viet Bau, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, also delivered his reflections, reviewing the Council’s key achievements, especially in institutional development, promoting university autonomy, and enhancing governance effectiveness. He emphasized that close and harmonious coordination between the University Council and the Board of Rectors is a crucial factor for the stable and sustainable development of Hong Duc University, and expressed confidence in the next generation of staff who will continue to build on these achievements.
The program concluded with the announcement of the Top 10 Outstanding Events of Hong Duc University in 2025, highlighting remarkable milestones across all areas of activity and affirming the University’s growing prestige and position.
