Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy Hanoi paid a visit to Hong Duc University
On the morning of April 10, 2021, the delegation of the US Embassy in Vietnam led by Mr. Gabriel Hust - Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy Hanoi visited and worked with Hong Duc University.
At the working session Assoc. Dr. Hoang Thi Mai – Vice Rector of the University briefly introduced the University and the results of cooperation programs with the US Embassy over the years. The Vice Rector affirmed: The cooperation programs with the US Embassy are effectively implemented at Hong Duc University. The students were very interested and responded positively to the lessons of the American teachers; Their English listening and speaking ability improved significantly. Moreover, these programs have provided language major students as well as students and staff throughout the school the opportunity to study, interact and interact with native teachers; thereby enhancing cross-cultural understanding and mutual trust. At the same time, the Vice Rector also suggested that the US Embassy continue to implement startup programs for students and residents of Thanh Hoa at Hong Duc University; assistance in applying for RELO's annual programs, the Fulbright program; continue to coordinate in organizing workshops and initiative camps on plastic waste in the following years…
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Gabriel Hust - Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, U.S. Embassy Hanoi, thanked the leaders and lecturers of Hong Duc University for the warm welcome. expressed approval and agreement with the proposal of cooperation of the University with the US Embassy.
