Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Van Dung – Rector of Hong Duc University delivers the opening speech
Delivering the celebration speech, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Van Dung – Rector of Hong Duc University reviewed the process of formation and development of the University during the past 25 years, mentioning that from the early days of establishment, there are still many difficulties and challenges that remain. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung said that “Looking back on the 25-year journey - a quarter of a century of construction and development, up to now, it can be affirmed that Hong Duc University has become an institution for training, scientific research and technology transfer. This hard work has strength Thanh Hoa Province and the North Central region, creating a solid position in the system of Vietnamese universities, worthy of trust and expectations of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province.”
In particular, on September 5th, 2022, the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee had Conclusion No. 935-KL/TU dated September 5th, 2022 on "Building and Developing Hong Duc University to 2030, with a vision to 2045". Then on September 22nd, 2022, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee signed Decision No. 3169/QD-UBND dated September 22nd, 2022 promulgating the project "Building and Developing Hong Duc University to 2030, with a vision to the future.” This is the basis for the University to "Strengthen to go forward", to build Hong Duc University step by step into an autonomous university, with a modern, intelligent and professional management system, a major training center, high-quality human resources, scientific research, technology transfer and innovation of the province, region and the whole country.
In the solemn atmosphere of the celebration, Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien – Director of the Center for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi awarded the Certificate of Educational Institutions Quality Standards (cycle 2) to Hong Duc University; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc - Former Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, President of UPM Innovation Institute, awarded the Certificate of 4-star educational institution according to UPM's standards.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Mr. Do Trong Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council warmly praised, congratulated and assessed high appreciation of the great contributions that generations of teachers and students of Hong Duc University have made during the past 25 years. Comrade Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Do Trong Hung relayed that “In the coming time, the Party Committee, the School Council, the Board of Directors, teachers and students of Hong Duc University should focus on performing well a number of key tasks as follows: deeply and strictly organize the implementation of the Party and State's viewpoints, guidelines, policies and laws on education and training, especially Conclusion No. 935-KL/TU of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee so that all staff, employees and students are aware of their duties and responsibilities for the development of the University, thereby having high determination, great efforts, solidarity and unity in the organization of implementation. . Continuing to comprehensively and substantially innovate the advanced university governance model, suitable to the actual situation of the University; actively innovate the contents, methods and advanced training programs, approaching the qualifications of prestigious universities in the country and in the world.
In addition, I believe that the university should closely combine teaching and learning with scientific research and technology transfer activities. Through scientific research activities to train and foster a contingent of teaching staff and researchers with solid theoretical and practical qualifications. Train students with the ability to think independently, creatively...Every teacher, teacher and school administrator should be aware of their responsibilities for the cause of "growing people". ; regularly practice, cultivate, maintain the word "tao", abundantly the word "mind"; inspires, lights up the flame of passion for learning, arouses love and desire to dedicate to the homeland and country and is really a shining example for students to follow.
Besides, pay attention and care to build a strong Party Committee and mass organizations of the University; building the school as both an educational center and a cultural center with a democratic, compassionate, and loving environment, where people are respected, loved, cultivated life skills, creative skills created to develop.”
Promoting the good tradition and achievements, with the full vitality of a 25-year-old university, Mr. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee believes that “teachers and students of Hong Duc University will continue to promote the spirit. Solidarity, taking advantage of opportunities and advantages, overcoming difficulties and challenges, determined to strive for more excellent achievements, striving to build Hong Duc University into a great center for education and training. On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Van Thi - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial leaders presented Hong Duc University with the banner of the Provincial People's Committee bearing the words: "Hong Duc University unites and innovates, being creative, constantly improving the quality of training and scientific research to meet the requirements of socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa Province and the country.”
Speaking at the Celebration, representatives of generations of cadres, lecturers, and students of the University reviewed the memories during the time of working, teaching and studying at the University. They expressed their belief in generations of teachers and students that the University will continue to overcome all difficulties and challenges, promote internal strength, unite and stick together, strive harder, build Hong Duc University more and more.
25th Anniversary Celebration of founding Hong Duc University and receiving the certificate of educational quality standards (cycle 2), the 4-star UPM certification ended in a joyful atmosphere of all staff, lecturers, staff, students, and students of the University with faith and hope for a new journey to reap more success in the career of education and training in the spirit of 25 years.
