According to Official Document No. 4971/UBND-THĐT dated March 23, 2026, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Anh, agreed with the proposal and authorized the University to host the conference. He also requested Hong Duc University to closely coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the event is organized effectively, practically, and in full compliance with current regulations. The University is required to report the conference outcomes to the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee (via the Department of Foreign Affairs) and related agencies.

The Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Police, and the People’s Committee of Hac Thanh Ward have been assigned to provide guidance, supervision, and support in organizing the conference. These agencies will also oversee consular matters and the management of foreign participants in accordance with regulations, and promptly report any issues beyond their authority.

On September 23, 2022, Hong Duc University, in collaboration with the University of Greifswald, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, DCG Institute for International Education (Federal Republic of Germany), and XpRienz Singapore & XpRienz Vietnam, co-organized the International Scientific Conference on “Local Socio-Economic Development in the Post-COVID-19 Period.”

The conference is scheduled to take place over two days, from May 22 to May 23, 2026, at Hong Duc University in Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province, in an in-person format. It aims to serve as an academic forum for scholars and researchers to exchange the latest findings in mathematics, applied mathematics, and mathematics education. The event is expected to contribute to strengthening research collaboration and improving the quality of teaching and learning at the University.

Approximately 50 participants are expected to attend, including 46 domestic delegates and 4 international experts. Foreign scholars will present their research both in person and online.

Prior to the approval, the Department of Foreign Affairs chaired the appraisal of the proposal dossier and coordinated with relevant units. All parties agreed on the necessity of the conference and emphasized the importance of strict compliance with regulations on organizing international conferences, ensuring security, fire safety, and proper management of foreign participants.

The organization of the international conference “Mathematics and Applications” is expected to enhance the academic reputation of Hong Duc University, expand international cooperation, and promote scientific research in mathematics within the province and the broader region.
