The conference was organized based on Official Notice No. 172/TB-MTTQ-BTT of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa Province regarding the allocation of the number and structure of candidates for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026–2031.

Overview of the conference
According to the notice, Hong Duc University was assigned to introduce one candidate for the 16th National Assembly, with the structure being the President of the University.
At the conference, participants were informed of the standards for National Assembly deputies, the summary of the nominee’s biography, the opinions of the University’s leadership, and the statement of the nominated candidate. Following open, democratic, objective, and lawful discussions, the conference unanimously agreed that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung fully meets the required standards in terms of qualifications, integrity, prestige, and capacity to stand as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026–2031.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung is an experienced educator and educational administrator who has devoted many years to teaching and scientific research. In his role as President of Hong Duc University, he has made significant contributions to innovating university governance, improving training quality, promoting digital transformation, and strengthening international integration, thereby enhancing the University’s reputation as a key center for education and research in Thanh Hoa Province and the region.

In accordance with the prescribed procedure, the University subsequently organized a conference to collect comments and votes of confidence from voters at the workplace. The conference reviewed the results of the nomination meeting, conducted discussions, and comprehensively assessed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung’s political integrity, moral qualities, professional competence, leadership style, and social prestige, followed by a vote of confidence in strict compliance with regulations.
Voters highly appreciated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung as a exemplary leader with innovative thinking, a scientific and practical working style, and a strong commitment to improving training quality, building a modern and transparent academic environment, and ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of staff, lecturers, and students.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung expressed his sincere gratitude for the trust and support of the University’s staff and voters, affirming that being nominated as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly is a great honor and a significant political responsibility. If elected, he pledged to uphold the responsibility of a National Assembly deputy, actively participate in law-making, supervision, and decision-making on major national issues, with particular attention to policies on education, training, science and technology, and high-quality human resource development. He also emphasized his commitment to maintaining close ties with the grassroots level and faithfully reflecting the legitimate aspirations of staff, lecturers, students, and the public to the National Assembly and relevant authorities.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Viet Bau, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hong Duc University, affirmed that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung is a leader with strong political integrity, high moral standards, a responsible and scientific working style, and a proven ability to unite and lead the University toward stable and sustainable development. He stressed that nominating Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung for the 16th National Assembly not only meets the required standards and structure but also reflects the political responsibility of the University’s Party Committee in contributing qualified intellectuals and capable administrators to the highest state authority.

As a result, 100% of the voters present at the workplace conference unanimously expressed their confidence and agreed to introduce Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026–2031, in accordance with the law.
The successful organization of the nomination and voter consultation conferences demonstrates the spirit of democracy, responsibility, and high consensus among the staff and lecturers of Hong Duc University in the process of introducing candidates for the 16th National Assembly, term 2026–2031.
