Hong Duc University Holds Conference to Introduce Candidates for the 16th National Assembly (2026–2031 Term)

Pursuant to Notice No. 155/TB-MTTQ-BTT dated December 26, 2025, issued by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa Province on the allocation, structure, and composition of candidates for the 16th National Assembly for the 2026–2031 term, Hong Duc University held a conference on the morning of January 7, 2026 to introduce candidates for the 16th National Assembly. The conference was organized in accordance with legal regulations and the guidance of competent authorities, ensuring full compliance with the prescribed procedures.

Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Viet Bau, Secretary of the Party Committee; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the University Board of Management, leaders of units and mass organizations, together with all eligible voters convened in accordance with regulations.

At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung presented the objectives, requirements and standards of National Assembly deputies as stipulated in the Law on Organization of the National Assembly, and introduced the list of proposed candidates.

Overview of the conference.
Delegates listened to summaries of the biographies and working records of each candidate, engaged in democratic and objective discussions, and heard the candidates express their awareness, sense of responsibility and determination should they be nominated to run for election to the National Assembly.

On behalf of the University’s leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President of the University, delivered remarks evaluating the nominated officials. He emphasized that all nominees are cadres and lecturers with firm political stance, good moral qualities and high prestige within the institution; they strictly observe the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws; possess strong professional qualifications, rich practical experience, a high sense of responsibility and a strong aspiration to contribute to the development of the locality and the country. If entrusted by voters, they are expected to fulfill well the role and responsibilities of National Assembly deputies, deserving of the confidence placed in them.

The conference conducted a vote by show of hands in a serious, open and transparent manner, in full compliance with prescribed procedures. As a result, the conference unanimously agreed to introduce four qualified candidates for the 16th National Assembly (2026–2031 term), namely: Mr. Pham The Anh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Head of the Personnel Organization & Administration Office; Mr. Tran Van Huy, Deputy Director of the Information Technology, Communication & Library Services Center; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Dinh, Lecturer of the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Communications; Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, Lecturer of the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
