Delegates Attending the Seminar

Distinguished guests attending the seminar included Dr. Nguyen Văn Phat – Chairman of the Thanh Hóa Union of Science and Technology Associations, former Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, former Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Training, former Secretary of the Party Committee, and former President of Hồng Đức University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Huu Can – former Vice President; and Mr. Nguyen Xuan Song, M.A. – Chairman of the University’s Alumni Association of Former Lecturers, former Chairman of the Trade Union.

Representing the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the University, together with members of the Party Standing Committee, the University’s Board of Rectors, heads and deputy heads of departments, faculty members with doctoral degrees, senior lecturers, and representatives of students. Notably, the seminar also welcomed the parents and 39 newly admitted valedictorians of the 2025 intake.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Văn Dũng recalled the 28-year journey of construction and development, highlighting:
"Twenty-eight years may not be a long time compared to the history of a university, yet it is enough to mark continuous efforts and proud achievements of many generations of staff, lecturers, and students of Hồng Đức University. With our glorious tradition, solidarity, and determination, I strongly believe that Hồng Đức University will continue to achieve greater successes, affirming its role as a prestigious center of training and research in the region and the country.”

On this occasion, the University also awarded Certificates of Merit to seven students who won prizes in the National Olympiad for the academic year 2024–2025 and honored 39 new valedictorians of all undergraduate programs in the 2025 admission round. Among them were two students who achieved a perfect entrance score of 30/30, a remarkable demonstration of the talent, determination, and aspirations of today’s young generation

After 28 years of construction and development, the University is proud to affirm its position as a center for training, research, and international cooperation.

Modern Facilities: The University campus covers nearly 39 hectares, featuring 6 large lecture halls, 6 dormitory areas, 2 sports complexes, a 500-seat auditorium, numerous laboratories, 10 computer rooms, a practice workshop, and a Center for National Defense and Security Education.

Comprehensive Training Programs: As the first local university offering all levels of education from preschool to doctoral studies, the University is currently training nearly 13,000 learners with 7 doctoral programs, 21 master’s programs, and 40 undergraduate majors across diverse fields.

Qualified Faculty: The University is home to 194 PhDs, including 29 Associate Professors, forming a strong foundation for high-quality teaching and research.

Research activities: Over the past five years, the University has undertaken 48 national, ministerial, and provincial research projects (including 9 at the national level), and published more than 1,648 scientific works, of which 345 articles were indexed in WoS and Scopus. The Hong Duc Journal of Science is officially recognized by the State Council for Professorship in 6 academic fields.

International Cooperation: The University maintains partnerships with over 50 institutions in 25 countries, implementing joint training programs, credit recognition, and collaborative research with prestigious domestic and international universities.

Quality Accreditation: Hong Duc University has successfully completed the second cycle of institutional accreditation, received a 4-star rating from UPM, and has 26 training programs accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Dynamic Student Life: With more than 20 student clubs in academics, arts, sports, and volunteerism, students are encouraged to develop holistically and actively participate in national and international competitions, including innovation and entrepreneurship contests.

Honors and Awards: The University has been awarded the First, Second, and Third-Class Labor Orders and many other noble distinctions by the Party and the State.
