On the afternoon of March 12, 2026, the Political Department of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Military Command and the Faculty of Social Sciences at Hong Duc University held a signing ceremony to formalize a cooperation and twinning program between the two units

Attending the event were Colonel Nguyen Xuan Toan, Standing Member of the Provincial Military Party Committee and Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of Hong Duc University. The conference was co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel Ha Quang Hung, Head of the Political Department of the Provincial Military Command, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mai Van Tung, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The event also welcomed leaders and representatives from relevant departments, along with lecturers, staff, and students from both institutions.

Leaders of the two units sign the cooperation agreement

At the conference, delegates reviewed and discussed the draft coordination regulations between the two units. The cooperation will focus on strengthening information exchange; promoting education on historical traditions; organizing academic exchanges, learning activities, and research in social sciences and humanities; and enhancing the quality of political and ideological education. In addition, both sides will collaborate in providing knowledge on national defense and security, ethnic languages, as well as promoting cultural, artistic, and sports activities for staff and students.

Participants expressed strong consensus on the proposed contents and contributed practical ideas to ensure the effective implementation of the partnership in the coming time.

In their remarks, leaders of both institutions emphasized that the signing of the agreement marks an important milestone, reinforcing close ties and mutual support in fulfilling their respective missions. The conference concluded with the official signing ceremony and a friendly sports exchange, held in a spirit of unity and cooperation.
