On the afternoon of May 11th 2022, the delegation of Zielona Gora University - Poland, led by Assoc.Dr. Marcin Mrugalski - Vice Rector paid a working visit to Hong Duc University (HDU).
On behalf of HDU's management board, Assoc.Dr. Hoang Thi Mai - Vice Rector briefly introduced the development process of HDU and appreciate the effective cooperation programs between 2 universities. Assoc.Dr. Marcin Mrugalski presented an introduction about UZ and new tentative cooperation opportunities between the two universities.
At the meeting, the two sides evaluated the effectiveness of cooperation in training and scientific research for the period 2012 - 2022, discussed about cooperation programs and sources of funding, scholarships as well as support method to connect HDU with scholarship programs of the government and universities and research institutes of Poland. Continue to focus on exchange programs of lecturers and students, programs to support professors and experts to teach and collaborate in scientific research at HDU. Assoc.Prof.Dr. Hoang Thi Mai emphasized HDU’s expectation in the exchange of lecturers and students, especially the effective exploitation of the Erasmus Plus program to enhance opportunities to work and research in an international environment for staffs, lecturers and students of Hong Duc University.
Ms. Kamila Rabiko - Erasmus Plus Program Coordinator introduced detailed information about scholarships as well as funding packages for UZ’s partner schools. Accordingly, lecturers and students of HDU will have many scholarship opportunities to participate in teaching courses, professional training, research projects and international conferences.
On behalf of HDU, Assoc. Dr. Bui Van Dung expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation and thanked the President of UZ for the effective cooperation between the two universities. He wished that the cooperation program between the two universities will develop more deeply and widely. He invited the rector and UZ's delegation pay a visit to HDU on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of HDU in September 2022.
Mr. Marcin Mrugalski expressed his sincere thanks to the management board of HDU and expressed his wish to welcome HDU's delegation to pay a visit to UZ in the upcoming time.
In 2012, HDU and UZ signed MoU in the fields of student exchange, implementation of joint training programs and cooperation in scientific research.
Over the past 10 years, the two universities have effectively implemented cooperation programs and achieved remarkable results with 13 delegations of UZ came to work at HDU and 10 delegations of HDU paid working visit to UZ. Specifically, UZ has supported HDU to successfully register and effectively carry out Erasmus Plus scholarship packages with 6 turn of staffs, 3 times of PhD students and graduate students, 2 students, 1 specialist and 1 senior leader of Thanh Hoa's government department level to teach, research and study in Poland. UZ also actively cooperated in scientific research and supported the HDU's staff to implement 2 provincial-level projects with a budget of billions dong. The research team has published 02 papers at the 10th international conference on optics and spectroscopy and 04 papers published in ISI-listed journals.
Currently, the two universities are implementing the 4+1 program for graduates of the physics, with the form of credit recognition and the awarding of a second degree from UZ when students completed additional year at the university. This will pave the way for them to receive scholarships to participate in research and training programs of the European Union in the shortest possible time.
It is known that UZ is also actively applying for Erasmus Plus scholarship packages to create more opportunities for staffs and students of partner universities come to teach, research and study in Poland including Hong Duc University.
