The program was coordinated by the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, and Hong Duc University, with the sponsorship of Vingroup. This event marked the 24th year the program has been organized nationwide and the 10th consecutive year Thanh Hoa has hosted it, attracting a large number of high school students, parents, teachers, and educational institutions seeking updated information on university admissions and career orientation.
The event was attended by Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, representative of the Department of Higher Education (MOET); Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Deputy Director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training; and a panel of experts and leaders from major universities and academies in Northern Vietnam. Representing Hong Duc University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, President of the University, members of the Board of Rectors, leaders of faculties and departments, along with a large number of students.

Thousands of Students Attend the 2026 Admissions and Career Counseling Program at Hong Duc University
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 2026 is the second year that students will take the National High School Graduation Examination under the 2018 General Education Program. University admissions in 2026 are expected to witness several adjustments in selection methods, with higher requirements for learners’ competencies and professional skills. In this context, the counseling program aims to provide students and parents with accurate, official, and up-to-date information regarding the graduation examination and university admissions.
The Organizing Committee noted that the program brought together leading admissions experts, university leaders, representatives from the Ministry of Education and Training, and military academies to directly answer questions from students and parents.

In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung emphasized that the Admissions and Career Counseling Day offers a valuable opportunity for students to clarify concerns related to examinations and new admission regulations. In addition to centralized counseling sessions, students could directly interact with universities at more than 100 information booths, helping them gain clearer insights into academic programs and future career pathways.
“We hope that through today’s program, students and parents will obtain reliable information to make well-informed decisions for the next stage of their educational journey,” he stated.
During the event, hundreds of practical questions were raised, focusing on admission methods for 2026, subject combinations, enrollment quotas, program requirements, and strategies for choosing majors and arranging preferences. Representatives from MOET and participating universities provided detailed explanations, stressing transparency and fairness in the admissions process. Students were advised to follow official announcements closely, understand the regulations thoroughly, and select combinations that match their strengths, interests, and labor market trends.

Participating universities also introduced their training programs, learning outcomes, internship opportunities, employment prospects, scholarships, tuition policies, and student support services. Many institutions affirmed their commitment to enhancing practical training, digital skills, and soft skills to meet the demands of the labor market in the context of digital transformation and international integration.

Speaking at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President of Hong Duc University, highlighted that hosting the 2026 Admissions and Career Counseling Program reflects the University’s responsibility in accompanying students, parents, and high schools in Thanh Hoa Province. He reaffirmed HDU’s continuous efforts to innovate curricula in line with practical needs, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for Thanh Hoa and the region.

In addition to the on-site counseling sessions, the program also featured more than 100 consultation booths from educational institutions, providing students with opportunities to gain in-depth information about academic programs, study conditions, scholarships, tuition fees, dormitories, as well as study-abroad opportunities and international joint training programs.


Lecturers Provide Enthusiastic Admissions Counseling to Parents and Students
According to the plan, the 2026 Admissions and Career Counseling Program organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper will be held in 15 provinces and cities nationwide, with major events in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Can Tho, and Hai Phong, continuing to support students in making informed academic and career choices.
