From Hong Duc University Lecture Halls to the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council: Remarkable Achievements of Three Female Alumni and Lecturers Elected

The election results for the 85 members of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council for the 2026–2031 term highlight the participation of the education sector, with four elected representatives being educators, including three alumni of Hong Duc University. From lecture halls to public service, these distinguished individuals not only demonstrate the important role of teachers in the grassroots political system but also affirm the training quality, reputation, and growing influence of Hong Duc University.

Among those trusted by voters are three young female teachers: Lo Thi Thuy, Luong Thi Thuy Huong, and Lau Thi Dinh—well-trained intellectuals who have grown through practical experience in the education sector.

From Lecture Halls to Real-World Impact

Born in 2002, Lo Thi Thuy, an ethnic Thai teacher from Thuong Xuan commune, currently works at Bai Tranh Primary School in Xuan Binh commune. A graduate of Primary Education at Hong Duc University, she has quickly demonstrated strong professional competence, responsibility, and dedication to her students. Her fluency in the Thai language, along with B1-level English proficiency, gives her a distinct advantage in teaching in mountainous areas.

Sharing her thoughts, Lo Thi Thuy said: “Being trained at Hong Duc University and now being elected by voters as a delegate to the Provincial People’s Council is a great honor. I am committed to doing my best to reflect the aspirations of the people, especially ethnic minorities, and to help bring Party and State policies into practice.”

Similarly, Luong Thi Thuy Huong, also born in 2002 and of Thai ethnicity, is a graduate of Hong Duc University and currently teaches at Ky Tan Primary School in Van Nho commune. With a solid academic foundation, she has consistently shown a strong sense of responsibility and close connection with her students and community.

She shared: “Each vote of confidence from voters is a trust that must be respected and upheld. In my new role, I will continue learning, improving my capacity, and actively contributing ideas to develop policies that align with local realities.”

Meanwhile, Lau Thi Dinh, born in 2001 and of Mong ethnicity, is a graduate of Early Childhood Education at Hong Duc University. She is currently working at Nhi Son Kindergarten in Nhi Son commune. She stands out for her progressive spirit and strong sense of social responsibility.

Reflecting on her journey, Lau Thi Dinh stated: This is an important milestone in my personal and professional development. Building on the foundation from Hong Duc University, I will continue striving, fulfilling my responsibilities, and contributing to local development, especially in early childhood education and childcare.

Though each has a unique perspective, all three share a strong sense of responsibility, a willingness to learn, and a deep commitment to serving their communities.

Out of the 85 elected delegates, four are teachers, including three HDU alumni. Their journey from university lecture halls to real-world professional environments has enabled them to demonstrate both competence and accountability to voters.
