He stated that the compilation and publication of the textbook aim to provide students with a solid, scientific, modern, and up-to-date knowledge base, enabling them to actively participate in climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts in the future.

According to the Preface of the textbook, climate change is identified as one of the greatest challenges facing humanity, causing serious impacts on the natural environment, the global economy, and the quality of human life. In this context, climate change education is considered an urgent requirement to enhance awareness and equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to increasingly complex environmental challenges.

The textbook “Introduction to Climate Change” is designed as a learning resource for students of all academic disciplines at Hong Duc University. It also serves as a valuable reference for lecturers, researchers, and individuals interested in the field of climate change. Structurally, the textbook consists of three chapters arranged in a logical sequence from basic concepts to practical applications: Chapter 1 – Climate and Climate Change; Chapter 2 – Impacts of Climate Change; and Chapter 3 – Responses to Climate Change. Each chapter includes a system of review questions and discussion exercises, enabling students to consolidate their knowledge, develop critical thinking, and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.
