Hong Duc University Launches the Textbook “Introduction to Climate Change”

On the morning of December 13, 2025, Hong Duc University held the launch ceremony of the textbook “Introduction to Climate Change,” marking an important milestone in the standardization of teaching and research materials. The textbook aims to support academic activities while enhancing students’ awareness and understanding of climate change, a critical global challenge

The event was attended by distinguished guests, university leaders, lecturers teaching the course Introduction to Climate Change, and a large number of students of the University.

Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, President of Hong Duc University and Editor-in-Chief of the textbook, emphasized that climate change is no longer a distant issue but a real and urgent challenge with profound impacts on all aspects of life. He stated that the compilation and publication of the textbook aim to provide students with a solid, scientific, modern, and up-to-date knowledge base, enabling them to actively participate in climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts in the future.

Each chapter includes a system of review questions and discussion exercises, enabling students to consolidate their knowledge, develop critical thinking, and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.

As of July 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in scientific research. He has been involved in 15 research projects at different levels, including 9 ministerial-level projects and 6 institutional-level projects. Notably, in the academic years 2014–2015 and 2017–2018, he served as principal investigator of two ministerial-level projects, both of which were successfully evaluated with ratings of Good and Excellent. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung has contributed to and co-authored 101 scientific publications and 18 books and reference materials, reflecting his extensive academic expertise and long-standing commitment to scholarly activities closely associated with the development of the University.
