Hong Duc University Participates in the Delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training at the 2025 World Digital Education Conference in China

From May 14 to May 16, 2025, the Delegation of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam attended the 2025 World Digital Education Conference (WDEC 2025) held in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. Representing Hong Duc University in the Ministry’s delegation were Associate Professor Dr. Le Viet Bau, Chairman of the University Council; Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh, Vice Rector; and Dr. Trinh Van Bac, Head of the Department of Physical Education.

The conference was jointly organized by China’s Ministry of Education, the National UNESCO Commission of China, and the People's Government of Hubei Province under the theme: “Education Development and Transformation: The Era of Intelligence.”
WDEC 2025 aims to support the United Nations’ global initiatives on education transformation, calling for collaboration among governments, international organizations, universities, schools, businesses, and NGOs to promote the development and transformation of education in the era of artificial intelligence. The conference also emphasizes pioneering, global, and inclusive characteristics, aiming to join hands with governments, universities, primary and secondary schools, relevant international organizations, NGOs, businesses, and other stakeholders to explore the development of digital education across the entire process of "Teaching – Learning – Management – Evaluation – Research," contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

At the conference, delegates listened to presentations from speakers representing Ministries of Education, international organizations, and universities worldwide; participated in high-level dialogues on digital education; visited exhibitions on artificial intelligence and digital education; and attended case study reports on technology applications in education at national, institutional, and corporate levels, including companies in robotics and automation.

The Hong Duc University delegation actively engaged in activities throughout the conference, gaining valuable insights on AI applications in education, opportunities for study and research, and access to new policies, models, and advanced achievements in digital education and AI.
Through the conference, the University established numerous connections with educational institutions domestically and internationally, particularly in applying AI in teaching, management, and research.
In the near future, Hong Duc University will continue researching and implementing AI and digital education in its teaching, learning, management, evaluation, and research activities. Within the framework of the conference, Hong Duc University also proposed that the Ministry of Education and Training collaborate with China’s Ministry of Education and Chinese universities to support training and capacity building for staff and lecturers in deploying AI in education and research, as well as talent development for priority fields of the University and Thanh Hoa Province.
