Implemented from January 2023 to June 2025, the project engaged a team of researchers, experts, and business representatives. During the defense session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Loan presented the project’s outcomes, highlighting many achievements that exceeded the original objectives.
Key research results include:
Publication of six scientific papers (two articles in international journals indexed in Scopus and four in domestic specialized journals).
Successful supervision of three Master’s theses aligned with the project’s objectives.
Comprehensive reports assessing the current state of digital transformation among SMEs in Thanh Hoa and identifying key influencing factors.
A system of detailed, sector-specific solution recommendations to foster digital transformation among local SMEs.
Overview of the project evaluation meeting
Scientific contributions: The project systematized theoretical foundations and applied the DBI 2023 digital transformation measurement framework, identified determinants affecting SMEs’ digital transformation, and provided a comprehensive evaluation of the current status in Thanh Hoa—highlighting achievements, limitations, and root causes.
Practical contributions: The project has developed a reliable and extensive database to support digital transformation strategies for SMEs, serving as a valuable reference for enterprises, policymakers, and academic training. The proposed solutions are accompanied by detailed implementation guidelines, ensuring high feasibility in practice.
The Evaluation Council highly praised the project’s scientific rigor, practical applicability, and its strong contributions to both research and training. Members also provided constructive feedback and recommendations for further refinement.
Recognizing its outstanding contributions in science, practical applications, international publications, and academic training, the Council unanimously voted with 7/7 members rating the project as “Excellent.”
