The Forum was attended by leaders of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations; the leadership of Hong Duc University; representatives of relevant departments and agencies; and scientists, lecturers, and administrators from universities, colleges, and research institutes across the province.

The Forum was co-chaired by Dr. Nguyen Van Phat, President of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung, President of Hong Duc University.

An overview of the Forum.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Van Phat emphasized that the Forum was a meaningful scientific activity aimed at recognizing and honoring research projects and technological outcomes that have been successfully implemented and applied in real life, production, and management, thereby directly contributing to addressing socio-economic challenges in Thanh Hoa Province. He noted that the Forum not only celebrated the intellectual contributions and dedication of scientists but also served as an academic platform for exchange, experience sharing, and strengthening linkages among researchers, management agencies, enterprises, and localities, with the ultimate goal of making science and technology a true driving force for sustainable development.

Addressing the Forum, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Dung affirmed that Hong Duc University has consistently identified scientific research associated with application and technology transfer as a key and long-term mission in its development strategy. The research works and results presented and discussed at the Forum demonstrated the increasingly strong research capacity of the University’s staff and scientists, and clearly reflected the responsibility of the intellectual community in accompanying the locality and making practical contributions to socio-economic development and the improvement of people’s quality of life in Thanh Hoa Province.

At the Forum, Dr. Le Xuan Dung, Head of Science, Technology & International Cooperation Office of Hong Duc University, delivered a keynote report outlining the overall picture of scientific research, innovation, and application of research outcomes in universities and colleges throughout the province. The Forum then heard and discussed a number of outstanding scientific papers focusing on key fields such as: science and technology and digital transformation; high-tech agriculture, crop and livestock breeding; medicine and community healthcare; supply chain development, marine and rural economy; tourism, culture, education, and sustainable development.

Many research projects were highly appreciated for their novelty, applicability, and socio-economic effectiveness, including studies on blockchain-based product traceability; development of the QT55 hybrid maize variety; production of biological products and new materials; research on herbal-based products supporting diabetes treatment; and the development of agricultural value chains, OCOP products, and local tourism.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Nguyen Van Phat affirmed that the Forum had successfully achieved its objectives, contributing to the strong dissemination of the spirit of scientific research and innovation, and strengthening the linkage between research, training, and practical application in production and management. The opinions and recommendations raised at the Forum will serve as an important basis for the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations and Hong Duc University to propose solutions to further promote the application of science and technology in support of the province’s socio-economic development in the coming period.
