Overview of the working session
Representing Erfurt University of Applied Sciences were Prof. Dr. Frank André Setzer, President; Mr. Kevin Rausch, Director of International Cooperation; along with representatives from organizations, enterprises, and experts engaged in Vietnam–Germany collaboration. On the side of Hong Duc University, attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Ba Huyen, President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Ba Thin, Vice President; and leaders of various faculties, departments, and centers.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Ba Huyen emphasized that, in the context of rapid transformation in higher education driven by globalization, expanding and deepening partnerships with reputable international institutions is of strategic importance. Such collaborations not only enhance the quality of education and scientific research but also create valuable opportunities for students to gain international experience, thereby meeting the growing demand for high-quality human resources in a new era.

During the session, both institutions presented overviews of their organizational structures, academic strengths, development strategies, and notable international cooperation programs. Particularly, representatives from Erfurt University of Applied Sciences shared practical insights into Germany’s vocational education system, highlighting its strong emphasis on application-oriented training closely aligned with labor market needs.
The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including student and staff exchanges, joint academic and training programs, scientific research cooperation, and the development of practice-oriented curricula with international integration. The discussions were candid and constructive, reflecting mutual goodwill, strong consensus, and a shared vision for building a long-term and effective partnership.
