The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh, Vice President of Hong Duc University; representatives and staff from functional units; leaders of the Faculty of Foreign Languages and the Faculty of Social Sciences; as well as Vietnamese lecturers who directly collaborated with the Fulbright Teaching Assistant throughout the academic year.

Overview of the Closing Ceremony
During the 2025–2026 academic year, HDU welcomed Ms. Lynna Vo, who served as an English Teaching Assistant from September 2025 to May 2026. The University proactively completed all necessary procedures and provided favorable working, living, and professional conditions to help her quickly adapt to the new environment and successfully fulfill her responsibilities.
Throughout her tenure, Ms. Lynna Vo actively participated in teaching and supporting a variety of English-language courses at different proficiency levels. Her flexible and modern teaching approaches emphasized classroom interaction and the development of students’ communicative competence. In addition to classroom activities, she engaged enthusiastically in academic, professional, and cultural programs organized by the University, including the Aloha Program and the English Access Scholarship Program.
Notably, Ms. Lynna Vo provided guidance and support to HDU students who won First Prize in the English Spelling Bee Competition, an event held as part of the activities celebrating the 250th anniversary of U.S. relations. Her contributions helped create a dynamic English-learning environment, enhance students’ language proficiency, and broaden their understanding of international cultures.
Alongside her teaching duties, Ms. Lynna Vo participated in regular Vietnamese language classes and various cultural and historical exploration activities organized by the University. One highlight was a cultural study trip to Ninh Binh Province, which offered valuable opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthened mutual understanding among the Fulbright Teaching Assistant, HDU faculty members, students, and the local community.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Fulbright Teaching Assistant throughout the academic year. Presenting an evaluation report on the effectiveness of courses supported by the Teaching Assistant, Dr. Nguyen Thi Quyet, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, noted that Ms. Lynna Vo demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and adaptability. Her involvement contributed to more engaging and effective lessons while enabling her to serve as a “cultural ambassador,” strengthening international connections and cooperation in education and training.

In her remarks, Ms. Lynna Vo expressed her sincere gratitude for the support and kindness she received from the University, faculty members, and students. She shared that her time in Vietnam had been filled with memorable experiences, not only through teaching but also through exploring Vietnamese culture and learning more about the people of Vietnam in general and Thanh Hoa Province in particular.
