The meeting was part of the annual international cooperation program between the two institutions, aiming to promote academic exchange, student mobility, and to further expand collaboration in education and research in the coming period.

An overview of the working session
The session was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Hong Duc University. Participants included exchange students from Polytech Tours and representatives of the leadership and staff of relevant faculties and units of HDU.

According to the report, within the framework of cooperation with France, Hong Duc University and Polytech Tours signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on April 8, 2019, which was extended and renewed on October 22, 2024. Based on these agreements, the two institutions have effectively implemented various collaborative activities in education, scientific research, and academic exchange. Notably, Polytech Tours has awarded full doctoral scholarships and successfully trained three PhD candidates who are currently lecturers and staff members of Hong Duc University. The two universities have also jointly published nearly 30 scientific papers in prestigious international journals and conference proceedings, including many articles indexed in Q1 and Q2 journals according to the Web of Science (WoS) database.
In addition, the two universities have signed a Student Exchange Agreement, enabling mutual credit recognition in several fields, particularly in Information Technology. Each year, students from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology of Hong Duc University are selected to undertake internships in France, while French students come to study at the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Communication of HDU. To date, 28 French students have studied at Hong Duc University, and six HDU students have participated in exchange programs at Polytech Tours.

In the field of scientific research, the two sides have signed a Research Agreement to jointly implement research projects and scientific–technological programs, aiming to enhance international publications. Annually, professors from Polytech Tours visit Hong Duc University to deliver lectures, present specialized reports, and conduct seminars for undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and doctoral candidates. Furthermore, Hong Duc University has cooperated with Campus France and the French Embassy in organizing information sessions on French higher education and postgraduate scholarship opportunities for its students and learners.
Speaking at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh emphasized the significance of the partnership between the two universities in the context of increasing international integration in higher education. He reaffirmed that Hong Duc University attaches great importance to international cooperation, especially in student and staff exchange programs and joint research activities with partners such as Polytech Tours.

At the session, representatives of Hong Duc University presented an overview of the student exchange program between the two institutions, highlighting achievements, advantages, challenges, and proposed adjustments to further improve the effectiveness of cooperation in the coming phases. Representatives of Polytech Tours students expressed their sincere appreciation for the warm and thoughtful reception by Hong Duc University and shared their positive experiences during their study, research, and daily life in Vietnam. The discussion session took place in an open and lively atmosphere, focusing on training programs, learning and living conditions, as well as regulations for international students. Relevant units of the University directly addressed questions and carefully considered suggestions from the students.

Concluding the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh highly appreciated the spirit of cooperation and open exchange between the two sides, and affirmed that Hong Duc University will continue to improve coordination mechanisms and create the most favorable conditions for Polytech Tours students during their study and research at the University. The working session ended with an exchange of souvenirs and a group photo, marking another important milestone in the educational cooperation between Hong Duc University and Polytech Tours.
